LOFT ADDITION

To accommodate overnight guests, the loft addition is an insertion floating in an existing garage. The project pierces the existing roofscape to allow northern natural light into the sleeping space through an angled skylight above the bed. The interior volume is pulled off the existing structure to emphasize its foreignness and give a sense of lightness when standing underneath.
